CFRF Free By-Request Workshop on Fisheries, Collaborative Research, and Careers in Fisheries Science
The Commercial Fisheries Research Foundation is dedicated to increasing awareness of fisheries topics, educating others about our research, and training the next generation of fisheries scientists through outreach and education initiatives. We are proud to offer a free by-request workshop to introduce students to fisheries science and management, discuss the value of collaborative fisheries research, and provide resources for students interested in pursuing a career in fisheries or marine science.
eligibility
This workshop is best suited for upper-level high school (junior and senior) and lower-level undergraduate (freshman and sophomore) students at schools, universities, and other organizations that support these groups. Organizations that support underrepresented groups are especially encouraged to request a workshop.
Details
The free workshop will last approximately 45 minutes to one hour, and the content and duration can be tailored to your group’s needs. We will provide all attendees with a link to additional resources following the workshop.
