The Commercial Fisheries Research Foundation is dedicated to increasing awareness of fisheries topics, educating others about our research, and training the next generation of fisheries scientists through outreach and education initiatives. We are proud to offer a free by-request workshop to introduce students to fisheries science and provide information and resources for students interested in pursuing an impact-driven, community-oriented career in fisheries or marine science.
Details
This free workshop is best suited for upper-level high school students (junior and senior) and college freshmen at schools, universities, and other organizations that support these groups.
The workshop will last approximately 45 minutes to one hour, and will introduce students to:

Fisheries Science Careers
What it’s like to Work in Fisheries Science
Potential Paths to a Career in Fisheries Science
We will provide all attendees with a link to additional resources following the workshop.
